Admissions and application criteria

Clinical Informatic Fellowship applicants must complete their ACGME-accredited fellowship programs must be completed in an ACGME-accredited residency program, an AOA-approved residency program, a program with ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accreditation, or a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited residency program located in Canada.

To complete the application process, include the following:

  1. Curriculum vitae
  2. One-page personal statement defining your interest in Clinical Informatics
  3. USMLE Steps 1-3 score reports
  4. Photo
  5. Letter of recommendation from the program director from your initial residency training
  6. Three letters of recommendation (must be in addition to the program director’s letter above)
  7. ECFMG certificate, if applicable: International medical school applicants must be ECFMG certified. The program can, in some cases, sponsor J-1 visas.
