Important 2020-21 Interview Update

In light of the ongoing pandemic and in accordance with recommendations by South Carolina AHEC, Coalition for Physician Accountability (including the AAMC, ACGME, and AOA and supported by the AAFP and ABFM),and along with all Prisma Health residency programs, the Prisma Health Family Medicine Residency Greenville will be conducting virtual interviews for the 2020-21 season. The Prisma Health-Upstate/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program-Greenville is three-year ACGME accredited program established in 1971 and located in Greenville, South Carolina. Our program is designed to provide comprehensive, high-quality family medicine education with the goal of transforming health care for the people we serve. We will prepare you to practice in a variety of settings (academic, urban, community or rural), care for patients of all ages, pursue advanced fellowship opportunities. You will develop the expertise to become a leader in family medicine.

The major strength of our program includes the collaborative relationships that we have with other training programs within our institution on clinical, educational, and scholarly activity initiatives. All of our physicians are held to higher standards in providing patient care, but to also contribute to education, research, and community service. Through our partnership with these other services, you will practice at the highest bar of patient care, which will maximize your ability to gain a well-rounded education.
