The Family Residency Program at Prisma offers a competitive salary in an environment with a moderate cost of living. In addition, our program offers several other benefits that help to stretch our trainees’ dollars just a little further.

Salary for academic year 2020-2021

  • PGY1: $55,671.00
  • PGY2: $56,324.40
  • PGY3: $58,907.00
  • Opportunities to moonlight as PGY2 and PGY3

Educational funds

  • PGY1 residents receive $500 educational funds
  • PGY2 residents receive $1,000 educational funds
  • PGY3 residents receive $1,500 educational funds
  • Coverage of USMLE or COMLEX Step 3 registration fee
  • Free courses for BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ALSO
  • Coverage of AAFP board examination registration fee if boards are taken during residency

Public Service Loan Forgiveness

  • Our health company has received 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. Our hospital has a long history of providing care to all, regardless of their ability to pay. This designation allows our residents to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
