Do you accept J1 visa?

With the decision that Prisma Health will conduct virtual interviews for all GME positions this year, will any in-person interviews be allowed?

No. Even medical students at our own UofSC Schools of Medicine or students completing AIs with our program will be interviewed virtually. This decision was made to be as equitable as possible in providing a level playing field for all interviewees.

If someone interviews virtually but wishes to see the facility in person before submitting their rank list, are they able to do so?

No. In-person tours of facilities are not allowed. With the surge of COVID-19 patients we are experiencing, all visitors are strictly restricted to reduce potential exposure. We have videos available to help applicants get a virtual tour of our clinic and hospital.

Will there be a way to talk to current residents during the interview process?

Absolutely! Applicants will interview with a resident on the interview day. We also have opportunities to virtually meet our residents on Fridays during the interview season. Details will be included in the applicant interview packet.

What will a virtual interview day look like?

We will be using Zoom as our interview day platform which will give applicants the opportunity to meet each other and socialize but also allow private rooms for one-on-one interviews with the Program Director, Associate Program Director, another faculty member, and a resident.
