Medical Student Rotations

Psychiatry/neurology clerkships provide a wide variety of clinical settings with exposure to adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Students are introduced to the basic sciences, diagnostic assessments, and treatments pertinent to the fields of psychiatry and neurology. Students will encounter a wide range of patients, presenting complaints, and levels of acuity (inpatient and outpatient). Active management and participation in patient care are expected in the supervised setting.

Rotation Information

The Psych/neuro rotation is 8 weeks long. 3 weeks are neurology, 4 are psychiatry, and the 8th week is testing. The psych/neuro weeks are interwoven throughout the clerkship.
