Dr. Rochester grew up in Perry, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida in 1993, with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. She began her journey in Emergency Medicine in Gainesville as an EMT for local agencies. After graduation, she came to work for Milliken & Company, in Spartanburg, SC, as a Chemist. During her 6.5 years with Milliken, her accomplishments include obtaining her Masters in Business Administration in 1997 from University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC and a patent for fabric treatment. Her involvement with EMS continued through several local volunteer rescue squads and employment with the county EMS agency. She became a certified volunteer firefighter with two local fire departments. She decided medicine was her calling in 1999. She graduated from Medical University of South Carolina in 2003 and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine in 2006 from Carolinas Healthcare System, Charlotte, NC. Board Certification in Emergency Medicine was obtained in 2007 from ABEM and subsequently obtained Fellowship status from ACEP. After residency, she joined the department of Emergency Medicine at Prisma Health in 2006. Currently, she is the Division Chief for Emergency Medicine at Greenville Memorial Campus and the Stroke director for all Prisma Health Emergency Departments in Greenville. Her academic interests include stroke, trauma and sepsis. She was a founding member of the Stroke Program at Prisma Health and is instrumental in its continued success. She is married with two kids. Other personal interests include Disney, traveling, boating, and volunteering in her local school system.
