She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, completed a Biology degree at Furman University and a Master of Science in Health and Exercise Science at University of South Carolina School of Public Health. In her early career she spent time in sports nutrition and sports medicine research. Her studies led to a passion for educating and coaching families and athletes on the role of food and lifestyle choices for disease prevention and sports performance. She is a member of the Greenville Memorial Hospital and the residency’s wellness committees. She is passionate about preventing physician burnout and is active with the Lifestyle Medicine Curriculum. She is the biggest cheerleader of her residents and faculty- otherwise known as Team Awesome! In her spare time, she loves yoga, hiking in the mountains, cycling, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
