Geoffrey Pittman

Hi, I am Geoffrey. I am from Duluth, Ga. I grew up as the middle child in a Christian family of 5 and have an older brother and younger sister. Over the course of my life I have been very active in sports including soccer, tennis, basketball, and swimming. In addition, I have been involved with music since the 4th grade and play the drums, piano, and guitar. After graduating from Georgia Southern University, I worked for ‘Peak Academic Coaching’ as an in-home academic coach and science tutor for children grades K-12 and with ‘Ankle Biter’s Tennis’ as a tennis coach for preschoolers. I then was accepted at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) and graduated in 2019 becoming the first doctor in my family. During my time at MCG, I also met my now fiancé who is currently training to become a general surgeon here at Prisma Health as well. I ultimately was drawn to Prisma because it has a strong family medicine program that puts an emphasis on innovation and because I felt a clear sense of community and comradery amongst the residents, faculty, and staff that was clearly authentic and completely in line with what I was looking for in a program!
