Dr. Joel Amidon is board certified in Family Medicine and the Associate Program Director at Prima Health Family Medicine Residency, Greenville. He hails from Rome, NY but is very excited about the lack of snow in his new home of South Carolina. He attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY where he studied biology and vocal performance. He attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts, West Indies. Residency brought him to Greenville and he is honored to be the APD at the program that he trained at. He has a strong interest in primary care with a focus on women’s health, obstetrics, and LGBT care. In his spare time you can find Dr. Amidon hiking the Appalachian Trail, biking to Saluda and running the swamp rabbit trail.
