I am Khalea. I grew up in Albany, Georgia. I went to Howard University in Washington, DC for undergrad and I went to medical school at Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta, Georgia. I completed a general surgery internship at MCG prior to coming to GHS. I chose family medicine because I want to be a primary care physician and provide care to patients of all ages. I want to have lifelong relationships with my patients. I also chose family medicine because it is a very diverse field that involves many different areas of medicine. I chose GHS because I felt it would be the best program to train me to be a well-rounded family physician. My medical interests include women’s health and maternal fetal health. Outside of medicine I enjoy traveling and exploring new places with my husband, cooking and watching Netflix.
