Dr. Lutz has been practicing Emergency Medicine within the Greenville Health System ever since he completed his residency in 1984. He has held numerous leadership positions within the health system, including Medical Director and administrator of Emergency Services for years. Dr. Lutz’ leadership was recognized by the Prisma Health medical staff electing him President 2012-2013. He is currently Chief, Emergency Medical Transport Services, and teaches M-2s at the USC School of Medicine Greenville.

He enjoys medico-legal work and has a strong interest in prehospital care and Mobile Integrated Health. He serves as Medical Director of the Health System’s Mobile Care ambulance service and Greenville County EMS.

He is actively involved with the ABEM as a senior examiner, team leader, and oral case writer.

Dr Lutz loves to travel with his wife Ruthie, his daughters: Jill her husband Nick, and Gabby and her fiance Pedro. He is addicted to Ohio State Football.
