Nanette Dendy, MD

Internal Medicine Program Director

Dr. Dendy received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine in 2001 where she was awarded the Gerald I. Plitman Internal Medicine award and graduated as a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society.  She completed her residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she received the Ambulatory Resident of the Year Award as a senior.  After finishing residency in 2004, Dr. Dendy joined the clinical faculty at Vanderbilt, practicing both outpatient and inpatient internal medicine with the Hillsboro Medical Group at Vanderbilt.  She joined the faculty of GHS in 2010 and became a core faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2013.  During her time at GHS, she has been awarded the BEACON Award and the Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award twice.  Since 2015, Dr. Dendy has served as the M3 Clerkship Director for the Department of Medicine and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Greenville.  She became Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2018.
