I am excited to be here in Greenville! I grew up in south Louisiana, and I attended Louisiana State University (LSU) for 2 years and then, completed my training in Nutritional Science and Spanish at University of Missouri (Mizzou) where I met my now husband. I then obtained my medical degree at LSU-Shreveport. I chose to specialize in Family Medicine because I largely prefer outpatient-based medicine, focusing on the physician-patient relationship throughout all stages of life.
I came to Prisma Upstate not only for the amazing city of Greenville but also for the outstanding faculty and staff that is so committed to producing excellent physicians. Prisma Health’s Family Medicine residency demonstrates a commitment to not only treating but preventing patient’s illnesses, and I feel this is of supreme importance in providing optimal patient care. As a Nutritional Science major, I received considerable training on how to give dietary recommendations and hope to pass that expertise on to my patients. Throughout my medical education, I have learned to utilize and cater this knowledge to each patient’s medical and health needs. My favorite part of the program at Greenville is how much they encourage this continued learning and growth in lifestyle medicine. My other medical interests include adolescent medicine and women’s health.
When I’m not at the hospital you can find me hiking the mountains with my two dogs and husband, biking the swamp rabbit trail, playing far too much tetris, fostering dogs, at a Glass Animals concert, listening to thriller audiobooks, or enjoying a rooftop view. I look forward to finding new and exciting ways to explore this city and am eager to call Greenville my home.
