Teresa Williams, MD, MPH

Dr. Williams received her Bachelor of Science, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Masters of Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health.  She also received her MD degree from UAB, where she graduated cum laude and was a member of both the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Society.  During her residency, Teresa served as our Med-Peds chief resident in her fourth year and also had the honor of serving as one of the two pediatric chief residents following graduation.  Teresa is very interested in global health and spent a month at Kijabe Hospital in Kenya during her third year of residency and has long term plans to practice medicine in Africa.  She currently works as both a pediatric hospitalist at Anderson Medical Center and an adult medicine hospitalist at Greenville Memorial Hospital
