Zach grew up in the upstate of South Carolina where he obtained his undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 2007. Go Tigers! He then attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina where he obtained his M.D. in 2011. From there he continued onward to North Carolina where he completed a residency in pediatrics and then entered into pediatric emergency medicine fellowship, both at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Brenner Children’s Hospital. Zach has interests in emergency medical services for children, pediatric sepsis management, and high-fidelity pediatric simulation teaching. He is married to his amazing wife, Brooke, and they have two adorable and somewhat mischievous daughters, Avery and Emerson. In his spare time, Zach enjoys being with his family outdoors, attending Clemson football games, and he is an avid video game player.
