North Greenville University (NGU) is a comprehensive university affiliated with South Carolina Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The institution awards Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees.
Making school history, the NGU football team set a school record with 10 wins and won the 2006 Victory Bowl versus Malone College (now Malone University). In 2010, the North Greenville University football team had another winning season, in which they hosted and won the NCCAA Victory Bowl once again, defeating Campbellsville University (42-16).

NGU also made history in the 2011 season by reaching the Division II NCAA playoffs for the first time in school history, making it to the quarter-finals after losing to Delta State University.
For the first time in school history, NGU was crowned Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament Champions. On Sunday, Apr. 30, 2017, the Crusaders defeated Pfeiffer (4-0) in the championship game. Sports teams at NGU have 500+ student athletes in 20 varsity and two junior varsity teams.
In 2017 Converse added Field Hockey and Acrobatics and Tumbling to its list of competitive sports. During the inaugural year for field hockey, the Valkyries won a respectable five games after finishing the season on the winning end of five out of their last six contests.

Greenville Drive Baseball
The Greenville Drive is a minor league baseball team that plays in Greenville, South Carolina. They are a Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and a member of the South Atlantic League.
