The Psychiatry Residency Program at Prisma Health Upstate offers a competitive salary in an environment with a moderate cost of living. Salary (2021-22)

  • PGY- I $55,671.00
  • PGY-II $56,324.40
  • PGY-III $58,907.00
  • PGY-IV $61,122.00

Vacation/Paid Time Off

  • 20 days of paid leave per academic year
  • 12 sick days allowed per contract year
  • One half day per 6 months allowed for individual wellness time
  • 2 Wellness Retreats per academic year – these incorporate a volunteer experience, team building activities, and mindfulness exercise.

Continuing Medical Education Allowance (In addition to salary)

  • PGY-1: $500 and iPhone
  • PGY-2: $1,000
  • PGY-3: $1,000
  • PGY-4: $1,500
